It is a hot day at the end of August, yet there is much activity in the old Kantumoya homestead. Trucks have started to come in bringing crushed stones and sand \u2013 an indication of construction work about to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rumors have been circulating that the old Kantumoya homestead is now in new hands and it is true. The house structure which had reached just above window level many years ago is now back under construction. \u201cWho now owns it?\u201d, \u201cIs someone coming to live there?\u201d, \u201cWho is doing the building?\u201d and many other questions are asked around camp fires in Kapendi village and slowly the answers come to light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old structure, though once intended to be a house, is not going to be for someone to live in, but is being turned into a recording studio. What for you may ask? Well, as you know from visiting this site, Chejeji FM is seeking to \u201clet God\u2019s light shine\u201d through it\u2019s currently running online radio station. Bit by bit we are adding more content to this online station and this recording studio is being designed to help in that process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, those involved in Chejeji FM<\/a> here online are not only interested in just an online radio station, but an actual \u201cOn the ground and transmitting\u201d radio station for the people of Ikelenge! It is our desire to one day use this recording studio as a stepping-stone to bigger and better things, not just recording but one day broadcasting to our beloved people in the district of Ikelenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The excitement in the air connected to the development in our village is hopefully just a small taste of the excitement when the building is finished and commissioned as a recording studio. Because much of the content to be recorded here will be in the local language of Lunda as it\u2019s purpose is to support, build up and teach the people not just of this village, but this district and far beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
